¡También se habla Español! Wendy is a licensed clinical Social Worker with a masters degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. She started out in 2017 as a School Social Worker in a predominately Latinx community supporting children, teens, & families.
It was there where she experienced just how impactful having a safe space to be, to explore oneself, to talk things through could be for children and adults alike – especially for historically disadvantaged communities. Since then she’s found fulfillment in supporting adults and teens through exploring who they are, managing anxiety, overcoming trauma or loss, navigating relationships, developing coping skills, improving view of self, modifying behavior, & ultimately finding healthier versions of themselves.
Wendy believes our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual beings continuously interact to create who we presently are, and who we can become. Thus she may integrate exploration of health habits, past experiences, mindset, coping skills, mindfulness practices, family, relationships, and life balance into sessions to best meet each client’s goals. She believes everyone has the capacity to become their ideal version of self and becoming a therapist has allowed her to support individuals through that journey. Wendy prides herself on creating a space that is both validating and empowering, non-judgemental but still organic, and safe yet brave so clients are comfortable in being their true authentic selves.
Outside of the office Wendy replenishes her spirit through traveling, creating, and lifting or training.
